Big shout-out this weekend to long-time taptender Kena Ludemann. Saturday, Mar 11 is Kena’s last day on the schedule as she moves on to full time work as a Registered Dietitian.
We couldn’t let the weekend pass without marking the occasion. Kena started taptending when she was still an undergrad at UNL. Now, after graduating, completing an intensive internship, and taking the certification exam, she’s a full-fledged Registered Dietitian, guiding folks to making the best food and nutrition choices they can.
Customers have gone without Kena before- she has studied abroad, most recently completing a portion of her dietetics internship in Ghana. As avid explorer and outdoorswoman, Kena has completed multi-day bike rides, gone on solo camping trips, and rock-climbed challenging terrain throughout Colorado and points west.
There’s no doubt Kena will succeed in her new profession and continue to find adventure wherever she goes. We’ll see her occasionally behind the bar when she picks up a shift or helps at an event. Until then, let’s all raise a glass to Kena!
