Job Description

The LINCOLN Assistant Taproom Manager is responsible for overseeing the staffing and daily operation of the two Zipline taprooms in Lincoln – the Beer Hall (South Lincoln) and the taproom adjacent to the brewery (West O Street). Duties include scheduling and oversight of local staff, maintaining proper inventories, and implementing procedures established by Zipline Brewing Company.  Successful candidates will share Zipline’s commitments to quality, safety, and continuous innovation.  A successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be positive, self-motivated, task oriented, and comfortable and energized in social environments.  This position reports to the Director of Retail Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work two taproom shifts (6 hours per shift) per week at each location
  • Make out and manage the shift schedule for taproom staff at each location  
  • Ensure staff compliance with daily and weekly operations checklists
  • Conduct monthly inventories and report to the Director of Retail Operations
  • Maintain off-sale coolers stock and pull outdated product
  • Keg cooler organization, cleaning and stock rotation
  • Execute on premise events in conjunction with the Brand Management Team
  • Regular draft line and faucet cleaning 
  • Merchandise and display stocking and organization
  • Assist with training new staff
  • Attend (virtually) and present at weekly Retail Staff meeting
  • Adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations

Required and Desired Skills:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age 
  • Two years’ experience in the bar/restaurant industry, preferably in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of and passion for craft beer
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a love for meeting and interacting with people
  • Availability to work evenings and some weekends as needed
  • Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods
  • Able to regularly twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, crawl, lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 160 pounds using appropriate techniques and tools

This is a 30-40 hour per week position paid hourly at a rate of $12.50/hr plus tips.
