Espresso Double Stout

We’re heading into the darker months of the year– and we don’t just mean earlier sunsets. The deep, dark Espresso Double Stout returns to the taproom on Friday.

Sure, most folks have their favorite quaffs that they could drink any day, any time. But the beauty of seasonal changes means quenching summer’s heat with a crisp lager, and cozying up with a bold dark stout as the leaves change. A hot soup in the middle of summer may taste just fine, but it doesn’t ignite the same feeling of comfort, and the warmth isn’t nearly as welcome. And though Espresso Double Stout would taste great any time of year, it’s become a highly anticipated brew in part because it releases just in time to make the dark evenings of the year more inviting.  

This crowd favorite isn’t like any old dark ale. Sure, there are plenty of stouts with notes of coffee. How about a stout with coffee– nay, espresso— tossed right in? Espresso Double Stout lavishes your senses with an abundance of coffee flavor and aroma that melds perfectly with its roasted and chocolate malt backbone.

Friday, Oct 14, Espresso Double Stout returns to the taproom on draft. Stop by to sample it yourself, and raise a glass to the artwork of illustrator Andrea Davis, which will be in the taproom for the rest of the month! Not only that, but we’re bottling Espresso Double Stout as part of our 750 Series. This Friday, purchase a bottle of EDS and get a FREE sample glass while supplies last!
