The Brewery Tech reports to the Director of Logistics and serves in multiple roles, including warehousing, packaging, and basic brewhouse cleaning.
Essential Functions
- Load and unload materials, i.e. finished beer, bottles, grain, packaging materials
- Organize incoming materials and prepare outgoing materials for shipment
- Deliver and stock shipments to multiple off-site locations using company vehicle
- Fulfill orders and rotate stock
- Weekly inventory accounting
- Bottle, keg, and prepare finished beer for shipment
- Clean and sanitize brewhouse equipment and associated parts
- Clean all areas within the brewery
- Work with hot, cold and hazardous equipment and materials
Important Skills and Abilities
- Successful applicant must possess or obtain forklift certification
- Driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- A strong work ethic with a sense of urgency; the ability to multi-task while excelling in a team environment
- Ability to maintain attention to detail and communicate clearly
- Ability to familiarize oneself with established protocols and ensure that all procedures are performed with adherence to established SOPs
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, labor intensive, environment
- Must be a self-starter with ability to diagnose and address problems as they arise
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 150 pounds regularly
- Must bend, lift, and stand for long periods of time
- Must work safely near moving parts and machinery
- Must have good vision, depth perception, and the ability to see color
- Must be able to tolerate fluctuations between extreme temperatures and humidity
