THE MENZINGERS PARTNER WITH ZIPLINE BREWING CO. & LINCOLN CALLING FOR EXCLUSIVE BEER

LINCOLN, NE – Zipline Brewing Co. and Lincoln Calling are pleased to announce On The Impossible Past Pilsner, a beer commemorating the 10 year anniversary of the album by festival headliner The Menzingers. The Pennsylvania pop punk group will be performing their 2012 album “On the Impossible Past” in its entirety at this years Lincoln Calling Festival.

The beer is a new take on an old classic: a traditional, crisp pilsner dry-hopped with next-generation hop Hallertau Blanc.

“As a big fan of pilsners and a big fan of The Menzingers, I’m beyond thrilled we were able to create a unique beer for this special occasion,” said Zipline Marketing Director Craig Reier. “This is the kind of beer that goes great with live music, whether it’s in a big venue or a basement.”

“We’re stoked to bring this special collaboration to the festival this year,” said Shannon Claire, Lincoln Calling Executive Director. “Zipline plus The Menzingers, it just makes sense.”

On The Impossible Past Pilsner, will be released at all Zipline taproom locations Friday, September 9th. Patrons will receive a free pint glass with their first beer purchase. In addition, the official beer of the Lincoln Calling will be announced later this month. Both beers will be available for purchase on draft at Lincoln Calling venues throughout the festival.

To get tickets for Lincoln Calling, and to see which of the festival’s performers will be at the first venue you hit to have this limited-edition beer, head to lincolncalling.com.

About The Menzingers

Since forming as teenagers in 2006, The Menzingers have shown their strength as rough-and-tumble storytellers, turning out songs equally rooted in frenetic energy and lifelike detail. On their new album Hello Exile, the Philadelphia-based punk band take their lyrical narrative to a whole new level and share their reflections on moments from the past and present: high-school hellraising, troubled relationships, aging and alcohol and political ennui. And while their songs often reveal certain painful truths, Hello Exile ultimately maintains the irrepressible spirit that’s always defined the band. Since forming as teenagers in 2006, The Menzingers have shown their strength as rough-and-tumble storytellers, turning out songs equally rooted in frenetic energy and lifelike detail.
