December is officially here and Winter Ale is just the ticket to warm up the season’s snowy days.
“Winter warmers” come in a wide variety of profiles. Added spices can include everything from mulling spices to herbal blends. While these spice additions add a load of flavor, we opted for a pared-down profile, achieved by mixing rye into the malt. Floral hops float over a naturally spiced malt body, alighting on the palate with a light touch.
Also available in 6-packs for your holiday gatherings, Winter Ale hits the Taproom and Beer Hall today, just in time for First Friday. The photography of our friend Erin Miles from her collection, “Moments with Nature” will be gracing the walls of the Beer Hall. At the Taproom, we are pleased to partner with Fly Over Media to present Population: Elsie by Alyssa Schukar. The First Friday show will feature a brief talk at 5pm by Schukar, a nationally-renowned photojournalist, as well as food from Fat Fergs BBQ starting at 4pm.
